Chef Jay Shows Us How to Personalize Our Cooking

Friday, July 26, 2019

Today’s blog is about cooking fish and making Hollandaise sauce then personalizing it for yourself.  There are dozens of classic sauces that can be made from Hollandaise but the point of the video is - who cares about them.  Make your sauce taste the way YOU want it too.  Add what you like not what some French guy who died 200 years ago liked.  After all, you're cooking for yourself, not him.  Have fun and enjoy cooking!

Special thanks to Jay's son Ian for the video work!

Next month I am planning to talk about steaks.  I will go over what to look for when buying your steak and then how to season and grill it over a good hard wood fire.  I will also show you my AFTER cooking marinade.  This one will be a little longer because of all the content I want to cover but I hope it will be worth it.

Please let me if you have any questions on today's video.  I’ll be happy to help you out.  If you would like the recipe for my cocktail cherries, please ask.

Loved everything from the old fashioned recipe to the fish with Hollandaise. I'm making salmon tonight so I will try the hollandaise sauce with dijon and tarragon.
